ROCKAWAY - Joseph Lynch died Friday at home following a sudden illness. He was 42. Born in Denville, he was a lifelong resident of Rockaway.Mr. Lynch was a self-employed carpet installer. Prior to that he was employed at Shop-Rite Supermarket in Rockaway.He was a member of St. Cecilia's Church in Rockaway.Survivors include his mother, Maureen; two brothers, Francis and Michael, both of Rockaway; two sisters, Mary Butt of Hopatcong and Jean Lynch of Califon; three nieces; five nephews; and one grand-nephew.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 23, at 9 a.m. from the Whitham-Kanapaux Funeral Home, 20 Keller Ave., Rockaway to a funeral Mass at St. Cecilia's Church at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Marcella Union Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.
